Talk with Q&A in Honda Pacific Visions Theater, presented by Dr. Christopher G. Lowe, Professor of Marine Biology and Director of the Shark Lab, Biological Sciences, California State University, Long Beach.

State protection, better fisheries management and recovery of marine mammals has allowed the white shark population to recovery off California. While an amazing conservation success story, concerns about public safety have raised new conservation challenges. The Shark Lab has employed a combination of novel technologies to determine where white sharks are spending their time and the risk they may pose to people.
